Shot Reverse Shot, Over Shoulder Shot and Match on Action Shots

Shot Reverse Shot- This is were a series of different camera angles and shots, usually two or three are edited together to give the allusion that it is one continuous flowing scene. Usually in action films during conversations there will be two or more different shots set up and throughout the conversation/ narrative to keep the scene alive and interesting.

Over Shoulder Shot- This is simply a shot that takes place behind a character's back and the audience are looking over their shoulder. This point of view shot helps us feel as if we are witnessing the events in conjunction with the characters.

Match on Action Shot- This is the simplest of these techniques, it is just one long/ or continuous shot that the camera follows, this naturally keeps a realistic, undisruptive flow to the scene. It keeps us in world and focused in the scene.
