Location Consideration

Location Consideration

For our film introduction many things must be considered such as: script, casting, acting, props, location, etc. At this moment I have been thinking about possible locations where filming could take place, weighing up the advantages and disadvantages and hopefully decide on the ideal location that best suits our needs.

Birkenhead Park

The first place to be considered is Birkenhead Park, a reasonably popular destination for people to visit and go to and an iconic location in the Wirral.

Advantages

  • It's is an iconic location and nearly instantly recognisable and therefore relatable
  • It is a massive park that can provide a huge variety of options when planning and filming
  • the park is fairly popular so people will be there, if caught on camera it could give a sense of life to the world and location in the film

Disadvantages

  • Due to the amount of people who visit the park regularly being able to film without being disturbed is an ambissous hope
  • If people in the background are caught on camera, due to the popularity of the park we may need their consent to be able to use the footage- a problem that we could do without

Bidston Hill

Advantages

  •  A lot more exclusive than Birkenhead Park and therefor will not be disturbed nearly as much
  • Due to the remoteness of this location it could help very much to set a mood and feel of isolation
  • This area is an area I personally am extremely familiar with and can get to it in next to no time

Disadvantages

  •  It's not s recognisable as Birkenhead Park
